Why processed food is unhealthy
Section 1: Proposal
The topic I will be doing for my I-Search paper is informing people why processed food is unhealthy. I chose this topic to inform people why they shouldn’t always eat processed food and how it’s not good for your body. Most people don’t even look at the ingredients in what they’re eating, they just eat it because it’s there or because it look good to them. Little do they know processed food is one of the reasons why people are getting fat or becoming sick from eating all processed food. Processed foods are usually high in sugar and high fructose corn syrup. I also picked this topic because in our society nearly two-thirds of adult Americans are overweight or obese.The methods I will be using is telling you what’s in processed food , how people are getting sick from eating processed food. The main purpose is informing you why you should start eating more real food than processed food. This should be a interesting topic, hopefully in the end some people will do less eating food fast and starting making more home cooked healthy meals at home. After reading about why processed food is unhealthy for our community not just you.

Before I started my I-Search paper I had to pick a topic I could relate to. It’s always better to go with a topic you know about or something you can relate to. So you won’t have to do twice as much research just for your topic. So I went with a topic that was related to our society, which was obesity so that's why I chose my topic to be on why processed food is unhealthy for us. You should always brainstorm before starting any paper. I visited a couple website to get more information on processed food, and I came across some interesting information. One website was on nutrition’s for your body. Another on gave us details on how processed food is damaging the body.

Food addiction could be one of the reasons why 70% of America is fat. People should start watching how they eat, make better choices, and reduce their intake of sugar-sweetened drinks and processed food. Food made with sugar, fat, and salt can be addictive. Only if you knew what were half of the ingredients that were in all the processed food you eat, you’ll be very sicken if you knew what they were. Not all processed food is bad for you, some are actually good for you. What is processed food?
